Shirley Gittelsohn Fields of Color
86-year-old painter Shirley Gittelsohn tells the story of her life and work. Inspired by the fields of color she sees in the majestic Pacific Northwest landscapes of her home, she has spent a lifetime creating abstract, impressionistic and expressionistic interpretations of landscapes and still lifes. Despite the onset of macular degeneration, causing her to lose her sight, Shirley continues to paint with verve from the colors of the world around her.
